Ever since I was a little girl, I always found myself among animals. Mostly dogs, but also cats, birds, rabbits, hamsters and fish. The dogs could be big or small, pure-bred or stray saved from the street. It never mattered. The cats could be cuddly and sweet or strong tempered and weird. That never mattered either. What mattered was the connection and the love, the feeling only pet owners know that exists. It's been some time now, that we can no longer own a pet of our own but the love and need to be around animals and care for them has never left us. And I say we, as we are 3 animal enthusiasts in this home. My husband, myself, and a careful and sensible 8-year-old girl who knows how to be around and take care of animals.
